Top 5: 'Dabangg' collects Rs 16 cr in Week 3, total: Rs 131.5 cr nett
YRF's Imran - Katrina starrer titled Mere Brother Ki Dulha
Yash Raj Films next project starring Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar in lead roles is titled, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. The film is written and directed by debutant Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra. Shooting started last week and the movie is scheduled for a mid-2011 release.
Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a musical romantic comedy set amongst upper middle class families in North India. A topsy-turvy story which takes you on a fun-filled ride of humour and romance, where Imran falls in love with his brother's dulhan!
The director, Ali Abbas Zafar, has been with the Yash Raj banner for many years and has assisted on films such asBadmaash Company, New York, Tashan and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom.

Anjaana Anjaani
 Director: Sidharth AnandProducer: Sajid Nadiadwala Cast: Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor, Zayed Khan Stars: *** The challenge that film walas set themselves in today’s day and age is to create new parameters and break all the rules of traditional Bollywood film-making. And while they experiment, the audiences are served with a fine smorgasbord of feisty films to titillate their palette. The experiment that director, Siddharth Anand, has tried in Anjaana Anjaani, is to use just two major characters in the entire film - Ranbir Kapoor (Akash) and Priyanka Chopra (Kiara). Both these gorgeous young people have been beaten by life and decide to end it all by jumping off the New York Bridge. Of course they don’t finally do anything of the sort but make a decision to spend twenty days of their lives doing “things they have always wanted to” (now haven’t we heard that in a billion Hollywood films? The Bucket List leaps to the mind) While fundamentally the script does have only two characters interacting with one another, changing each other and impacting each other’s lives, but there are a host of peripheral characters that make their appearance, sometimes to take the story forward, sometimes to provide the background of the characters of Akash and Kiara.  Akash, an investment banker feels that he is a failure because he took huge business risks thereby sinking the business and his partners as well. Kiara, on the other hand, has had a failed relationship with a lifelong partner.Fed up, they both decide to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge. However, both land up on the same bridge at the same time. Anjaana Anjaani, is a fun film but it tries too hard. After the interesting start, it falls into the rut of the couple hitting the road, having a great time and falling in love with each other, and then (surprise!) deciding not to commit suicide. Yes, they strengthen each other in many ways, more so by helping each other to get in touch with their deepest desires and fears, thus while exploring the other, and they also come face to face with a few things about themselves. Ranbir Kapoor is spectacular but one can’t say the same about Priyanka, who seems to be showing the pressure to perform. Basically, there’s an overdose of cuteness by Piggy Chops, which can get a bit over the top sometimes. The movie seems to be the college goer’s delight, and aimed at that class, since the lifestyle that every yuppy would aspire for is all there. Though how, when Kiara is out of a job and Akash, bankrupt, can the couple afford their trips to Las Vegas and boating trips in the Atlantic, is anyone’s guess. But these are a few minor glitches and you aren’t supposed to ask these questions anyway. You are expected to just sit doing ‘awww…’ at the cute couple; wishing you were there when they get drunk on beer, go party hopping, gamble at the casino, go to all night parties and what have you. Basically, though the surmise is different, there’s really no meat on the bones of the film. The whole suicide bid scene by the couple, which by the way, carries on for pretty long, as they make one failed attempt after another, is just not serious enough. After all, it’s pretty serious to want to kill yourself, right? You have to be pretty sad to want to do it, right? So what are all the fun and games about? But that’s just another question you are not supposed to ask. Siddharth Anand has handled the movie with style. He’s aimed at the young city Indian and I’d say a lot of sweet young things are going to love this film.  The look and feel is slick and stylish, with lots of trendy locales and situations. Both the protagonists look very hot, (though now that we are on the topic, about it, what has Priyanka done to her lips? There’s a permanent pout there.) Ranbir does an uber hot, bare chested, muscled appearance; he also does a pole dance, in a gay bar, where he strips with abandon. In fact, judging by the number of gay jokes and the fact that he’s lusted after by so many gays in the film, it appears that the attempt is to make Ranbir a pin up boys for the gays as well as the girls! The end is predictable and falls into the rut of the love stories. The dilemmas are resolved, both Kiara and Akash decide to face their demons and go their separate ways. Finally they realize that they cannot do without each other (of course the realization comes during a long and tedious song sequence). Then comes…what else?...the chase to the airport, the race to the meeting spot, and voila! The lovers unite, and the audience goes, ‘sigh!’ Sweet! Nice music by Vishal Shekhar, great weekend watch for the younger lot! Final word? Shall we just say that Anjaan Anjaani is Chicken Soup for the Romantic Urbanites Soul |

"I love my life right now but I wish I didn't have to grow up so soon" - Priyanka
Till yesterday, Bollywood had just one name to reckon with when it came for 'bravery' -'Fearless Nadia'. Well, it seems 'Fearless Priyanka' will be the new name of bravery in Bollywood, thanks to her edge-of-the-seat reality show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 3'! In this issue of Man's World, Priyanka speaks about her work out regime for the show, her 'equation' with Karan Grover and also the quote by SRK that she wears on her coat forever: 'Failure is not an option'!
On the personal front, she says, "I love my life right now, but I wish I didn't have to grow up so soon. I was a teenager when I won the Miss World, you know!" Yes, Miss Chopra, we are aware of all the laurels that you have achieved.
She also talks about her 'readings' of Bollywood: "There are three kind of people here. The crème de la crème, who are quite okay, the men and the women who are on their way to the top, who too are not bad people, but the third kind is the most dangerous. They are the fixers, the men who talk and act big, take advantage of your desperation and take you for a ride."

Kareena will bring in her 30th birthday in Latvia

The only bright spot in this birthday away from home is that Saif will be with her. And since Agent Vinod is a home production, Saif and Kareena are planning to fly down Kareena's mother to Latvia for the birthday.
Karisma cannot join them because of her baby.
Kareena expresses helplessness about her impossible schedules. "What can I do? I barely have time to breathe. I've just come to Mumbai for two days. I've been away for 25 days. Now I fly off to Latvia for over a month's shooting," said Kareena before leaving Mumbai.
Confirming that the shooting of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine has indeed been postponed Kareena says, "Madhur is still working on the script. We start shooting the film when the script is ready in the next three months. Right now Madhur is busy with Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji."
Says the actress, "I'm now entering a new phase in my life and career. This year I hope to conquer many new peaks. By God's grace Agent Vinod and Ra.One are shaping up very well."
Bollywood hails Ranbir Kapoor as Bollywood's youngest superstar
Men will be men. Salman Khan has proved that with Dabangg and the super success of some of the recent films starring actors with close to 20 years experience has proven that. Aamir Khan gave 3 Idiots, Akshay Kumar had Housefull to boast of, Shah Rukh Khan gave My Name Is Khan and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi while Ajay Devgn has been consistency personified with Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge and Raajneeti. Amongst other superstars, Hrithik Roshan missed the bus though with Kites but no one questioned his stardom.However, when it comes to the secure future of Bollywood's tomorrow, there is one superstar who is ruling the roost: Ranbir Kapoor. The youngest of them all who has been enjoying a dream run with Raajneeti, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Wake Up Sid and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, he has left behind quite a few of his contemporaries in the race towards the top.
Though breaking into Top-5 would be a little distance away considering the fact that the men out there have a huge body of work to show and have been consistently delivering successful films, as the youngest superstar of Bollywood today, Ranbir - who would soon be seen in Anjaana Anjaani - is definitely enjoying the perks. Joginder Tuteja catches up with some of the Bollywood celebrities who seem to concur for sure!
Abhishek Kapoor: He is absolutely up there.
Arshad Warsi: Yes, he is amongst the top and the future superstar. No doubt about it.
Dia Mirza: I think Ranbir is clearly one of the best actors we have in the country. What makes him a star is the inherent talent, the kind of films he's done, the fact that he's young, earnest and good looking. Above all, he is a good person. He is totally one of the top and here to stay for a long time! Chitrangda Singh: I think Ranbir always had the charm of a star. With his varied choice of films, he is proving his ability, confidence and comfort as an actor as well. A super combo offer for sure!
Jackie Shroff: In his age group he tops.
Jacqueline Fernandez: Ranbir has arrived and is ruling!!
Kabir Khan: Absolutely. He has the talent, he has the following, he has the charisma and he has what is the most elusive of them all: huge box office success. But he still needs a larger body of work to totally cement his status.
Ken Ghosh: There never was any doubt about him being an accomplished actor and in the "top group". After Raajneeti where he was surrounded by acting greats, he surpassed himself.
Koena Mitra: What I like is that there is lot of silence around him. He is not there all over the place for lot of wrong reasons. Instead, his work makes a lot of noise. That's a quality of a very good artist. I would refrain from calling him a superstar or 'baadshah' because I don't believe in such terms. If you go abroad the only word that sells is talentKonkona Sen: Yes, he's one of the best today!
Madhur Bhandarkar: Ranbir is doing a very good balancing act with the kind of cinema that he is doing. I am very impressed with the way he is shaping his career. He is doing good and meaningful cinema like Wake Up Sid and Rocket Singh. On the other hand he is also doing commercial cinema like Raajneeti. This is good balance and he is going to be there for a long run.
Minissha Lamba: He was always a superstar right from his first film regardless of the fate of his films. Sooner or later he would reign supreme.
Ramesh Taurani: Hundred and ten percent. Wake Up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Raajneeti, Anjaana Anjaani, Imtiaz's next and Anurag's next: there is so much happening for him and there is no stopping him. With every film maker and director dying to work wit him and after working with him myself in Ajab Prem..., I know that he is an addiction. We still miss shooting with him. Ranbir is definitely the next superstar of this country.
Riya Sen: After a long time I've fallen in love with someone onscreen and that's Ranbir Kapoor.
Sajid Khan: Of course he is. Why just now? He was a superstar the day he signed so many films even after the debacle ofSaawariya. Sanjay Gupta: Of course he is amongst the superstars we have today but one who is completely fearless with his roles, smart with his choice of directors and intelligent with his selection of movies and banners. This makes him extremely formidable.
Siddharth Roy Kapur: Absolutely. Ranbir has made it really exciting for audiences to await what he is going to do next because he has surprised us with every performance. He has the hunger for good roles and the talent to pull them off effortlessly.
Sudhir Mishra: I have not seen such clear focus and direction in someone so young. He was not falling in the rut or mocking anybody. He has carved a unique niche for himself. He is respectful and is a superbly brought up boy. I don't think anyone has a doubt anymore about his superstardom.
Suneel Darshan: Ranbir is Gen-next's potential superstar. He continues to consolidate his status with remarkable scene-stealing performances in successful films.
Suparn Verma: Ranbir Kapoor was a superstar the day he came on the big screen singing 'Jabse Tere Naina' [Saawariya]! After that it was just a matter of time before he was officially welcomed in the Top 10 club. In my opinion his performance in Wake Up Sid and Rocket Singhalso deserve a special mention.
Vashu Bhangnani: Yes, he is a great actor and does any role with great ease and versatility. He is a superstar and amongst the best actors that we have.
Vipul Shah: More than a superstar, he comes across as the most secured actor. Look at Raajneeti; in spite of so many stars and actors in the film, he never tried to show that how good he was as an actor. He just stuck to his character and did it honestly. To me that's the greatest thing about him. Yes he is amongst the top guys now for sure. Vishal Dadlani: Ranbir's definitely a superstar. He's got the talent, the range, the looks, the luck, and most importantly, the level head. He also has a special ability to make people feel good about themselves when he's talking to them. People like Mr. Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan have this quality, and it definitely contributes to their mega-stardom. I have no doubt that Ranbir has an equally spectacular future!
Vivek Agnihotri: Ranbir is most certainly the best talent we have next to Aamir (Khan). He has a star presence; he plays the character earnestly and convincingly. His social conduct is best, courteous and humble. He looks at ease and is very accessible. Also, he is never burdened with his legacy. If that's not a superstar then what is? I guarantee he will create unprecedented standards.
Zarine Khan: He is definitely a clear superstar hands down and amongst the top. He has it in his blood. One just cannot doubt his capabilities.

MAKE-UP MANTRA
During the day, I wear no make-up at all. For a night out, I line my eyes with black kohl. I also love a smoky-eyed look with Yves Saint Laurent Wood Brown Long-Lasting Eye Pencil. Plus, I curl my eyelashes and use lots of Yves Saint Laurent Faux Cils Mascara. For lips, I prefer to use a pale pink lipstick.
HANDBAG ESSENTIALS
Under all the junk (my wallet, credit card and odd papers) you'll find my favorite, M.A.C Cherish Lipstick, M.A.C Improper Copper Cream Colour Base and my Chanel Noir Le Crayon Khol. I can't live without my kohl pencil.

I think Scarlett Johansson is beautiful. I like her face, her body and her hair. I also love Julia Roberts for always looking fresh.
TRESS TALK
I love oiling my hair with a mix of almond, castor, coconut and olive oils. I do this once a month. I use a Kerastase shampoo specifically for dry hair, and follow it with a blow-dry.
BEAUTY RITUALS
I use a Lancome face wash. I try to avoid creams because of their chemical content. In cold weather, I use Clarins HydraQuench Rich Cream, and on the beach I use a Clarins sunscreen. I don't believe in facials.
DIET CHART
I'm a vegetarian and believe in eating lots of green vegetables, like spinach, fenugreek and broccoli. I eat healthy meals with lots of whole grains and don't cut down on carbs. I eat every 2-3 hours. At night, I usually have dal, vegetables, curd and roti or brown rice. I try to drink at least 6-8 glasses of boiled water every day.
FITNESS REGIME
I do ashtanga and power yoga for an hour every day.
